This year marks 115 years of International Women’s Day with Bundaberg Regional Council hosting a range of events to mark the 2026 themes of justice and collective action.
From exhibitions and art walks to morning teas and breakfast events, the community is invited to come along and join in the conversation.
Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn said the events were a great way to recognise International Women’s Day which officially takes place on 8 March.
“It’s wonderful to be able to gather together and celebrate 115 years of collective action for International Women’s Day,” Mayor Blackburn said.
“This year the international theme is Give to Gain which focuses on the power of collaboration and support to achieve gender equality.
“Through our neighbourhood centres and galleries, we’ll be hosting events across the region to celebrate this important milestone and acknowledge all the amazing women in our own community.”
