More music for CBD patrons throughout July

Wednesday Winter Warmers live music program will continue in Bundaberg CBD in July.

A live music initiative aimed at encouraging increased visitation to the Bundaberg CBD has been extended following the success of the program in June.

The free concert series, Wednesday Winter Warmers, will be held weekly throughout July, with new artists added to the line-up.

Kicking off the July program will be the bands Pearl Ravens and Lazarath, each playing for one hour on Wednesday 1 July from 11.30 am.

Held in the Pavilion on Bourbong Street, the program offers shoppers, workers and visitors a reason to stop and unwind while in the CBD.

The program is presented by Bundaberg Regional Council as part of its Safe Spaces, Thriving Places initiative to revitalise the Bundaberg CBD.

Mayor Helen Blackburn said she hoped the program would encourage locals to enjoy their time in the CBD.

“Council’s Safe Spaces, Thriving Places initiative is all about promoting the Bundaberg CBD as a place for the community to shop, eat, connect and enjoy,” Mayor Blackburn said.

“The Wednesday Winter Warmers program is a great opportunity to bring your lunch and enjoy live music from some wonderfully talented local performers.”
