It’s been a busy few months at the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre with plenty more exciting events on the way for the community to enjoy.

Free Community Cooking Classes

Learn new skills in the kitchen as well as ways to use every day food items thanks to the Forgotten Foods to Fabulous Feasts program.

When: Friday 17 October at 5.30 pm and 31 October at midday

Tots to Treasures Seniors Morning Tea

Enjoy an intergenerational morning tea celebrating Seniors Month and Families Week with games, storytelling and a whole lot of fun!

When: Thursday 23 October from 10 to 11.30 am

Cost: Free, bookings required

Weaving Worlds Music Workshop

Children can explore world music and rhythm through this immersive workshop, supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund.

First Aid and CPR certification course

Register for First Aid and CPR certification through Pulse Certification courses at a cost of $60 to $125 per person.

Free Community BBQ

Don’t miss the next free community BBQ where everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy lunch together.

All Ability Karaoke

After a successful first event, All Ability Karaoke is back with everyone welcome to come along and sing their favourite tune.

Scam Presentation

Join the Office of Fair Trading for a presentation on scam prevention, offering tips and tricks on how to avoid scams.

International Men’s Day event

Mark International Men’s Day with a special event at the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre on Thursday 20 November.

Ongoing programs

Don’t forget the free regular programs taking place every week at the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre (unless otherwise specified).

  • Craft and Chat: Mondays from 9 to 11.30 am.
  • Balanced Bodies Pilates from 1.45 to 2.45 at the Gin Gin Youth Activity Centre (bookings required).
  • Cards ‘n All: Mondays from 1 to 4 pm and Tuesdays from 8.30 to 11.30 am.
  • Mahjong: Mondays from 9 to 11 am.
  • Tai Chi for Health: Mondays from 9.30 to 11.30 am at the Gin Gin Youth Activity Centre.
  • Watercolour workshops: Tuesdays from 10 am to midday.
  • Second hand clothing stall: Thursdays from 9 am to midday.
